Neru Akita (亞北ネル Akita Neru) is an officially recognized derivative. Her name is a play on words, Akita (亞北) is taken from "飽きた" or "get bored" while Neru (ネル) from "寝る" or "go to bed".
Neru is one of the Vocaloid derivatives that became officially recognized by Crypton Future Media, the publisher of the Character Vocal Series for Vocaloid 2, for commercial use. The other derivatives bearing this distinction is Miku Hachune, Haku Yowane, Meiko Sakine, and Tako Luka.

- I recently was able to own a cockatiel named Konata Jr. It's named after an alias of one of my friends.
- I'm supposed to be wearing glasses, but I often forget to put them on.

- My best friends are Ruko and Teto. My other...friend... is Kida. The other guy is Ted.
- I do not like being called a chipmunk. Do not call me that.
- Shroomy, being the fucktard she is, gave me a condition called chimerism. In short, there are two different people in my android body. One is myself, and the other is Magneserin Callifarrious. An evil bastard. You don't see him too much anymore due to some prescription shitthing Shinra gave to me _{(Note: The real Chimerism is where a person has two different sets of DNA in their bodies. It does not cause any sudden behavioral or physical changes. I made that up)}.
- I do not like my normal outfit, to be honest, so Shroomy made another one for me, consisting of a red and black coat and some pants.
- I am not usually seen using a cell phone.
